The Records page is the start point for all things of public record.  Records are what genealogy is all about, because they are the major source of information about our past.  They tell the story of an individual; when they were born, where they lived, who their children were, what they did for a living, how they died, etc.   Family tradition and stories are very important, but records are how we prove it.

One thing to keep in mind while viewing records is that they are not always factual.  After all, someone has to provide the information or fill out the record, and people make mistakes.
